[January 5th, 1282] Alvar was leaning against the wall with the horn of the telephone in his right hand, looking over the training area that had somewhat fallen into chaos. About a dozen members of the Order of Eläinrata were standing at the side line not to step in the way, but several were still grouped around the young trainee sitting on the ground. The nurse present had ripped off Aitor's sleeve to look at the burns that he had just been injured with, while the young Aries was whimpering in pain. His “no, no, that huuurts” and “ouch” was exchanged with hurt rattling and begging in his own language, that probably no one present understood. Part of the sleeve had been burnt, and it had black patches on several places, smelling like burnt cotton. An end further, a patch of burning was found on the floor of the training area as well, in a more or less round shape, with a few scratches in the wood below it. Aitor had been succesfully pushing back his sparring partner during the fight, but Simba had responded rather rashly to the attacks. Alvar glanced over to the Leo trainee, who was standing next to him. The fourteen-year-old was trying to find a place where he dared to look, because it surely was not Alvar’s eyes or Aitor’s face. The guilt was written over the young trainee’s face. Alvar was unsure if the guilty look had more to do with the fact that Simba knew of the consequences to him going bat-shit crazy on Aitor, or if the teenager was afraid that Aitor would never be okay after this. Alvar's hand was going through his own nearly red hair while he was running all these thoughts through his mind, but at that moment a voice came from the other side of the line, cracking for a second before it clearly picked up, asking, “Aries Rook to Headquarters, how may I help you?” Alvar returned to his serious posture. “This is Leo Alvar Thomsen from the Headquarters,” he answered, calmly but at a firm pace. “We have a wounded trainee here. Can you send a man up here for transportation and prepare a hospital room?” The woman on the line responded, “An Aries trainee? What’s the situation?” “Nothing critical. The sparring session got out of hand, trainee Aitor seems to have second degree burns on his right arm,” Alvar said. His eyes quickly went over to Aitor again to once more check up on the situation. His Paladin was not in the Headquarters today, so he was the senior of the Leos present. “The nurse is with him at this moment and he seems to be okay,” he continued. Aitor had indeed calmed down a bit, and his complaints and wailing were now muffled away under his breath. After another question or two, Alvar finished the phone call and hung up. It’d roughly take another ten minutes before someone would arrive, but that time would be used to restore the order. “Please go upstairs to the Leo room,” Alvar said to Simba, who bowed his head before turning around and hurriedly walking to the escalator; scolding the boy could happen later. The man walked over to the side of the training area, kindly asking the bystanders one by one to get back to their posts. When passing by the last one in line, a Leo, he said, “Eudora, can you get back to the Rook and let Sir Jaz know of what happened?” When she nodded and turned around to leave, Alvar held her arm to add, “and the kid's sister too?” Eudora swiped the white hair from her face and nodded again. “Alright,” she said, before making a short bow and turning around to head for the exit. Her nimble figure went to the hall, where the hangers were occupied with people’s heavy winter coats. She picked her own from the bunch, and wrapped it around herself before stepping out in the cold. Pulling leather gloves out of the pockets of the purple piece of clothing, Eudora moved over to the side, where several vehicles were parked. Breathing small clouds of warmth into the cold outside air, she narrowed her eyes and held a hand at her forehead to protect herself from the bright morning sun as she was looking for one that she was allowed to use. When she spotted a Leo motorcycle in the bunch, Eudora stepped over to it and pulled it over manually, to step on it and drive away.

The cold air burned in Vall's lungs as she came to a stop. Bending over, she rested the palms of her hands against her knees as she sucked in more of the freezing air, to steady the pounding in her chest. It was a rather beautiful day for a jog, even though ice clung to the blades of grass on the ground.  With each step that was taken, she heard the crunch beneath her padded shoes. Warm puffs of breath rising into the air, she straightened up and pulled down the sleeves of her black shirt. She didn't feel the cold at all throughout her run, but now with her skin moist from sweat, the chilled air against bare skin was like being dunked into an icy bath. Teal hair with plum hues drifted across her face which she wiped away with a quick brush of fingers to gaze at Headquarters. She wasn't far now but that jog from Aries Rook to where she now stood was enough. She'd just walk the rest of the way, roughly four miles in frosty weather was good enough. Pulling back the mass of hair around the curled horns, she twisted it and let it fall down her back as she pushed on. Nearing the building, she was becoming increasing aware of the fact she failed to warm up before heading out into the cold. Her muscles were started to feel sore. She sighed, once again, failure to think ahead. 'Riiiiiing' 'Riiiiiing' The muffled sound of her phone now filled the silence around her. Reaching for it, she unclipped it from her pants and slid her finger across the screen without looking for the name of who was calling. “Vallerie speaking.” “Sir Vallerie,  Aitor was injured at Headquarters during training with Simba. Word has been sent and we have a medical team being dispatched immediately. Are you nearby?” “I'm nearing Headquarters now,”  Vall's voice was calm, but her eyes had slid to the entrance. She noticed someone revving up the engine of a Leo motorcycle. “Okay. I'll check on the situation. Thank you.” She pulled the phone from her ear and hung up. Picking up her pace, she jogged the rest of the way to the entrance. Surely Aitor was not severely injured. With a furrowed brow, she pushed open the doors and stepped into the warmth.

The nurse had taken Aitor to the sideline now that he had calmed down, to put the Aries on the benches next to the arena, making place for the next people to use the training area if they really wanted, even though none of the members present seemed really interested so far after what had happened. After finishing his round of sending people back to their place, Alvar noticed that the front door already opened. For a split second he considered the option that the Aries people had already arrived, but dismissed the idea as he knew it would take more than just a minute or two to send those over from the Aries Rook to the headquarters; it must have been someone who had already been on the training grounds close to the building, either or heading for the building directly and coincidentally entering it right now. People, or at least members of the Order, outsiders weren’t that numerous, entered the headquarters for guarding or other purposes at any time in the day, usually on their own or in small groups. However, the person entering just happened to be an Aries this time, and not just any: this was Sir Vallerie Caelius, Paladin of the House of Aries. Alvar had vaguely known Vallerie since he was still a new member of the Order of Eläinrata; she had been in training before then, but he only got to know her after her initiation. Did she not use to be a rash little Aries with maybe too much of a fighting spirit back then? Alvar was not planning on asking her that, although he clearly remembered Sir Jaz mentioning Vallerie’s fast progress when she was a new Order member. That and her matured fighting spirit had likely contributed to her becoming a Paladin, at the age of only 23. Standing not too far off the entrance, Alvar bowed his head to Vallerie in a respectful greeting. “Sir,” he addressed her. Assuming she had likely already been informed of causalities by telephone, he was ready to report to any question she would have about the situation.

As the doors shut behind her with a clank, her eyes scanned the surroundings. People were moving around, some were in clustered. As her eyes fell on the benches, she saw Aitor sitting down, and with the expression on his face, Vall could tell he was whimpering from the pain. From the angle at which she stood, she could only see a glimpse of the injury. It looked as though the skin was burned. Vall knew that would take a bit to heal. She bit her lip as she moved away from the door. She would go over to see Aitor after getting the details of the situation, seeing as he was doing okay and talking with the nurse who was peeling back the burnt clothing. Vall's nose scrunched up. The faint smell of burnt cotton and flesh still lingered on the air. Scanning the faces of the people she walked by, as soon as she turned her head, she was met with a familiar face. One she did not see quite as often. The hair she tried to keep behind her neck shifted, fell over her shoulders and drifted to the front of her face as she turned her body in the familiar person's direction. Her pace picked up until the distance between them was a mere three feet. “Alvar,” she spoke calmly, yet a stern undertone lay in her voice. She had to tilt her chin to look up at the man in the eyes. She never realized he was quite this tall up close, however, she was never one to be simply intimated by mere height. She continued, “I received a call but I wanted to get the details from someone on site. I take that it was a sparring match gone wrong?”
